  • How do I download the app?
    Search ‘Lunches 4 School’ on your smartphone’s app store and select 'get' or 'install' depending on your device. You will be then prompted to sign up: Confirm your school. Enter your details and scan the QR code that has been provided by your child's school and confirm. You will then be prompted to enter your child's details. If you are registering more than one child, just select the back button and select 'Add Account'.
  • How do I set up an account for new Junior Infants pupils for the 2024/2025 school year?
    We will release your schools QR code along with a 'How to Guide' for setting up your child's account once the new school year commences.
  • When is the order deadline?
    The order window will open from 3pm on 2nd December and remain open until 9pm on Tuesday 10th December. Please ensure you place an order for each day the menu is available in green.
  • I can't select my child's class/teacher from the dropdown menu.
    We are aware of this and are working to get it rectified. For now, you can select any teacher from your child's school. Once the account is set up, and you are on the home page, select the 'Profile' button on the bottom left-hand side of the screen. From here tap on the teacher's name/class and you will see a dropdown menu with a list of teachers and classes. Select the correct teacher and save.
  • How do I order my child's lunches?
    Orders can be placed a month in advance, you will get a notification when the order window is open, and a reminder again before it closes. Select your child's account and then select 'Place Order' You will see a selection of dates, click into the date you want to start ordering from and then click through to the menu. Select your chosen dish for that particular day and add to basket. Tap the basket button at the bottom of the screen and select 'Place Order'. Next, select 'Order Next Day' to move onto the following day. A Red tab indicates that no lunch can be ordered for this date (school closure etc.) A Green tab indicates that you haven't placed an order for this date yet. A Yellow tab indicates that lunch has been ordered for this date.
  • How do I create an account for more than one child?
    Select the back button on the top left of the Home Screen (where your child’s name is visible). This will bring you to another page, then you can add another account. Create this account and save.
  • How often do I need to place an order?
    Our menus run on a 4 week cycle. Place your order for the month ahead and forget about it until it is time to place next month's order. Make sure you have you push notifications turned on for the app - we will send you a reminder when the order window is open and a reminder the day before it closes.
  • My child has allergies!
    Not to worry! In each of our menus our allergen's are highlighted on the menu, as well as the menu you received from your child's school. If you have any questions or concerns about our allergens we are more than happy to help. Get in touch with us directly by emailing admin@lunches4school.ie
  • I ordered the wrong thing!
    Don't worry! Simply open the app and click on the yellow tab for the date of the order you would like to change. Orders can be changed up to two weeks in advance.
  • How is the food delivered?
    Hot meals are delivered in black thermal boxes with heat blocks Cold food delivered in cool boxes with cold packs
  • Do you provide Vegetarian or Vegan Options?
    Yes! In our Hot Food Menu as well as our Cold Food Menu, every week there is an option for Vegetarians.
  • Is your meat Halal?
    Yes, all of our poultry is certified Halal.
  • Where can I find nutritional information for each meal?
    Allergens are available on this website and on our app. Nutritional information, including the carb, protein and fat content of each meal, will be available on the websites menu from early April. In the meantime, feel free to pop us an email at admin@lunches4school.ie if you have any queries about a meals nutritional values.
  • Can my food be re-heated later?
    No, the hot food provided cannot be reheated and must be consumed within 90 minutes
  • Why can’t I order the Ham every day for my child?
    The Government, through Healthy Ireland introduced Nutritional Guidelines for School Meals in 2018.This restricted the supply of Ham so Children should have a variety of meals or sandwiches each day.

  • My child cancelled their lunch last year/last term, but would like to join again. How do I do this?
    Simply reinstall the app and scan your schools QR code to start the sign up process again.
  • How do I know the food is as good as what I make at home?
